Welcome Cadet - Consider yourself one of the fortunate few who is qualified enough to train in the Project BackStep Time Travel Simulator. You will be challenged by three increasingly difficult levels which should stress your eye-hand coordination to the fullest. Each level has its own time limit which corresponds to the difficulty rating for that level. For example, Level One is designed to get you used to the controls of the Sphere. Since the level is fairly basic, the time limit for this level is somewhat short. Levels Two and Three are increasingly harder and thus have a longer time limit. The simulator will give you real time feedback on how well you are piloting the Sphere. To the right, you will see the time remaining as well as the percentage of how well you are doing. Lower percentages indicate poor piloting skills while high percentages suggest that we may have found our alternative pilot. At the end of the time limit, or if a perfect lock is achieved, results will be displayed to show how accurately you have piloted the Sphere. Results can range anywhere from a perfect landing to potential fatalities. Remember, the fate of the world can rest on one person's shoulders.

Objective: Pilot the simulator to the target destination by aligning the temporal endpoints with the gravitational pockets. | |||
Definitions: Temporal endpoints are the small white spheres that can be grabbed with your mouse by clicking and holding. The temporal endpoint you are in control of will turn blue. Gravitational pockets are the square bracketed areas. They will change color depending on what type of lock has been achieved. Red will indicate that a half lock has been achieved while green indicates that a full lock has happened. |
